Daniel Padilla

Daniel Padilla was born in 1972 in El Paso Texas, but was raised in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua Mexico for his first five years. While attending school he was encouraged to paint and at times he was inspired and supervised by his father who was a fine artist until his death in 1994.

Even though he was born in the United States, Daniel Padilla was nurtured by the humble beauty of the culture instilled in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico for the first five years of his life. He is inspired by warmth of the desert and primarily by the miniscule details (as he establishes as significant) in life and his passion for music. Daniel notes that his palette is his emotion, his brush is his soul, and his canvas is his life.

While attending Bowie High School, Daniel became a member of the Juntos Art Association and assisted in painting a mural at Thomason Hospital (now University Medical Center). In 1996 Daniel started El Paso Community College as a part-time student for two years in the study of graphic design.

Daniel Padilla is the illustrating author of the fragments that recapture the anecdotes that are part of the numerous lives encountered throughout his past and current life story.

Significant contributors to the flourishing of the artist were Gaspar Enriquez and Hal Marcus, who encouraged Padilla to fully develop his talents.
